Nokia Map Loader 1.2.1 *FIX* http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?295219&t=1240411

Im not sure if many of you have been getting the same problems as me with the latest version of Map Loader (1.2.1), but ive found a fix on the European Nokia boards that worked for me.

The Problem:

Upon connecting your phone via Data Transfer mode or through card reader, and after a successful download of the particular map you want, you get a prompt saying "Connection to the storage medium has been interrupted. Attach your storage medium and retry."

Ive tried both Data Transfer mode, and several card readers; external and internal, yet I still get the same problem on my 6110.

The Solution:

1. Start the Maploader
2. Delete previous map data
3. Select the map file you need (only select one)
4. While the program downloads the type this into your windows run box (Windows key + R): %temp%\download_temp.
5. Inside this folder there should be a zip file (random names depending on which map you’re downloading).
6. Mark this file as read-only (right click -> check read-only -> ok) BEFORE the Maploader finishes with the download.
7. Let the Maploader finish.
8. Now you’ll see an error, but this time the Maploader won’t delete the file after the error.
9. Close Maploader
10. Unzip the zip file on your pc, this should give you a whole bunch of folders, or if it’s a voice you downloaded, just one folder with the name of the language.
11. Copy all of these folders to you phones memory card:
a. Maps goes into: \cities\diskcach
b. Voices goes into: \cities

You can repeat this with as many maps you need.

*NOTE*
1.2.1 Maps goes into: '\cities\diskcache'
Voices goes into: '\cities

1.0 Maps goes into: '\Private\20001f63\diskcache
Voices goes into: '\Private\20001f63\
