"To disable Auto Tuning and speed up the copy process and avoid timeouts and disconnects do the following:

Open a command prompt and type the following:

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

To turn it on again:

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal"
